The Green Bay Packers have turned into a public pick to make it to the Super Bowl, or, at the very least, to go on a deep playoff run.
People seem to have a strong belief in Jordan Love to run the offense efficiently, and that Matt LaFleur’s coaching will continue to flourish and make them a team to beat.
While there’s a lot of positivity surrounding their offense, their defense leaves something to be desired, especially when looking at their secondary.
Former wide receiver Bo Melton is slated to play some snaps at cornerback, a sign that the Packers are hurting in this area.
If it’s their only shortcoming, it’s not the worst thing in the world, especially with reports that their defensive line is looking better than it has in recent years.
One player who has gotten a lot of praise is second-year linebacker Edgerrin Cooper.
Cooper was spectacular in his rookie campaign, and he’s turned a lot of heads at camp, impressing many, including Josh Jacobs.
Jacobs spoke highly of Cooper in a recent conversation with Kay Adams on “Up & Adams,” comparing him to one of the best linebackers in the game.
“He reminds me of Fred [Warner]. Just the way that he moves,” Jacobs said, adding, “The way that he plays, how quick he reacts to things, how he can catch the ball, he has that.”

Jacobs believes Cooper is the real deal, someone who can help the Packers win for the foreseeable future.
This team might have some noticeable holes that could cost them some points down the road, but if players like Cooper can hold things down near the line of scrimmage and their offense is as good as people are saying, the Packers should be able to win a lot of games in 2025.
