“Hand Job To Jerry Jones”: Brett Favre Biographer Calls Out Netflix For Misrepresenting Cowboys …

Brett Favre’s biographer, Jeff Pearlman, is not happy with Netflix’s docu-series on the Dallas Cowboys, “America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys”. Pearlman is not only the author of Favre’s biography titled ‘Gunslinger’, which was released in 2016, but also wrote ‘Boys Will Be Boys: The Glory Days and Party Nights of the Dallas Cowboys Dynasty’, which was released in 2008.

According to Pearlman, the new docu-series on Netflix is heavily inspired from his bestselling book. While Pearlman did not exactly mind this so much, the renowned sportswriter felt that the Skydance production company should have done a little more research about the incidents they depicted in the series.

“A couple of things: No. 1, I know they used my book. It’s clear that Skydance used my book… It’s OK. Fine. Whatever. Jerry Jones taking credit for the Herschel Walker trade is ridiculous. It’s not a ‘we.’ It was Jimmy (Johnson). It was zero percent, Jerry. Jerry didn’t even know what the hell was going on. It was a Jimmy Johnson trade. The organization of the trade was Jimmy. The value for the picks for the players they acquired was Jimmy. And so far, this whole documentary is just a hand job to Jerry Jones. It actually is infuriating.” Jeff Pearlman said in his latest TikTok account.

Brett Favre’s ‘Gunslinger’ biography by Jeff Pearlman follows his upbringing from a rural background to becoming a legendary quarterback in the National Football League. Apart from his upbringing, the book also covers Favre’s struggles in his personal life.
