Ryan Gravenberch sends message after latest PFA recognition

Gravenberch latest recognition has drawn a heartfelt response from the Liverpool midfielder after he was named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.

The Dutch international described the honour as a proud moment and insisted it only strengthens his hunger for more success.

Gravenberch was one of five Liverpool players included in the XI, following a season where his contributions in midfield played a huge role in the Reds lifting the Premier League title.

It capped off a remarkable second campaign at Anfield, where he had already been crowned the league’s Young Player of the Season.

Gravenberch proud but hungry for more silverware

Reflecting on the award, Gravenberch told Liverpool FC:

“Really proud – really proud.

“You worked really hard last season and the recognition from the other players to be in the Team of the Season, I’m really glad and really proud of myself.”

The midfielder admitted the ceremony in Manchester was a new experience for him but one he thoroughly enjoyed.

“It was really nice, this was actually my first time. It was new for me, the red carpet and everything, saw the other players as well. It was a really nice event.”

Now back in contention after serving a suspension, Gravenberch is already focused on Liverpool’s next challenge.

He stressed the importance of building on last year’s success and keeping fans dreaming of more trophies.

“When we were champions at Anfield, you saw the moments with the fans and everything.

“As a player you want to achieve it again and give the fans more prizes. We will try everything and work hard for it.”

With a PFA honour, a league title, and now fatherhood all coming within weeks, Gravenberch is entering a new chapter at Anfield.

Reds supporters will be eager to see whether he can drive Liverpool towards even greater heights this season.
