Jalen Nailor is also dealing with a hand injury, and he could miss multiple weeks as well. With a depleted room of playmakers, the Vikings are pursuing a trade that would bring back a fan-favorite offensive weapon.

According to Adam Shefter, the Vikings are attempting to bring back Adam Thielen. The former Vikings receiver is currently on the Carolina Panthers, where he has had one 1,000+ yard season.

Theilen had a dip in production in 2024, bringing in 615 yards and four touchdowns through 10 games. He did experience an injury that impacted his season, but he remains a solid deep threat.

When Did Adam Theilen Play for the Vikings?

Thielen was signed by the Vikings in 2013 as an undrafted free agent. Though his first two seasons saw him used minimally, he had a breakout season in 2016, which led to him becoming one of the best receivers in the NFL.

Thielen played for the Vikings from 2014 to 22 seasons.

What Were Adam Thielen Stats During Vikings Run?

Thielen spent nine seasons with the Vikings, where he picked up a total of 6,682 yards and 64 touchdowns. His most successful season was in 2018, when he brought in 1,373 yards and nine touchdowns.

Oddly enough, Thielen set a career-high touchdown count in 2020, when he brought in 14 on 925 yards.

Thielen received two Pro Bowl nods and one Second-team All-Pro nod during his time with the Vikings.

In the 2023 season, Thielen was shockingly released as a cap-saving move, leading to him signing with the Panthers. His first season with the team saw him secure 1,014 yards.

Thielen remains a deep threat receiver and could become a massive weapon for J.J. McCarthy if the Vikings can pull off the trade.
