Aston Villa are set to travel to the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday to take on Brentford.
Unai Emery will be hoping to pick up a victory against the Bees after Villa’s 0-0 draw against Newcastle last weekend.
While the result was solid against the Champions League outfit, one of the biggest concerns was no doubt Ezri Konsa’s red card at Villa Park.
As a result, the centre-back is set to serve a one-match ban against Brentford, which could end up costing Villa massively.

Brentford have never lost their first home match in the top-flight
Since their promotion to the Premier League, Brentford have become renowned for their excellent home record.
While Keith Andrews has since replaced Thomas Frank in the dugout this summer, the new manager will be hoping to continue this trend, starting on Saturday.
According to BBC Sport on 22 August, Brentford have a fantastic record in their opening home match in a top-flight season.

Villa’s defensive issues have often cost them under Emery

Based on this, Aston Villa producing another strong defensive display could be vital if Emery are to pick up a win.
Therefore, Konsa’s suspension at Villa has only damaged these hopes, with the England international arguably being the B6 club’s best defender.
While Lamare Bogarde may be brought into the starting XI to replace Konsa, the 21-year-old does not provide the same amount of quality.
