Nottingham Forest have spent big this summer as they gear up for Europa League action this season.
Nuno Espirito Santo has been backed heavily, with eight new arrivals coming into the club; however, business may not be finished at the City Ground.
A public warning from Nuno about his squad sparked a round of transfers at Forest, and while he is happy with the signings, he insists work can still be done.
Speaking ahead of Forest’s trip to Selhurst Park, the manager said the squad is “close” to being in a good spot but there are still two positions that need reinforcements.

Nuno Espirito Santo wants to sign a new goalkeeper and full-backs for Nottingham Forest
Nuno Espírito Santo has reiterated the need for more signings at Nottingham Forest ahead of their second Premier League match of the season.
The Portuguese manager stated in his pre-match press conference for Crystal Palace that his squad needs to work on deals for a goalkeeper and full-backs.
Goalkeeper Carlos Miguel has recently left the club after struggling for minutes against Mats Selz, who had an excellent season.

This has left the club with only two registered first-team goalkeepers, and a third choice would be needed throughout the season to provide sufficient cover.

Additionally, with Ola Aina likely away at the African Cup of Nations, the club’s options at full-back over December and January could be limited.
Nottingham Forest could reach record high in transfer window
If Nottingham Forest are to secure the signing of a goalkeeper and some full-backs, their overall total this summer could be their record expenditure in a season.
Their business in 2022/2023 is still the most they have ever spent, with the outlay totalling £171 million. This season, they have already forked out £150 million.
With the arrival of two new players, there is a real chance they break their record. It has been a big summer for the club, and it had to be.
The Garibaldi are set to compete in Europe and will be playing in four competitions. Having a Forest squad with enough depth is an absolute must to compete on all fronts.
