Manchester United are closing in a deal for a potential Andre Onana replacement.

The shot stopper, 29, has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer, and he was dropped by Ruben Amorim for their opening weekend clash with Arsenal. And his days in the red half of Manchester could be numbered.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, United have agreed personal terms with Royal Antwerp keeper Senne Lammens. Lammens, 23, has impressed in Belgium making almost 65 appearances in Antwerp.

He is also a Belgian youth international, and was called up to the senior team for two matches in March, but was an unused substitute in both fixtures.

Romano added Antwerp will demand around £17million for his services.

Altay Bayindir replaced Onana between the sticks on Sunday afternoon - and it was his howler that gifted the Gunners the game.

Analysing the game on Sky Sports at full-time, Keane and Richards were then embroiled in a back-and-forth over the former United captain's criticism of the goalkeeper.

Keane criticised Bayindir was being weak, saying the goalkeeper should have been more commanding and 'punched someone's head off' to get to the ball.

While most of the discussion was tough to pick up with both pundits arguing over the other, they both ultimately agreed Bayindir should have done better, but Richards believed he should have been better protected by his team-mates.

Onana, himself, has been offered a potential escape route out of Old Trafford by his former side Inter Milan.

The Cameroonian shot-stopper had turned out for the Italian giants, and was part of their run to the 2023 Champions League final, before swapping the San Siro for Old Trafford that summer.

According to the report, Inter chiefs believe Onana would be open to a return to the club. New boss Christian Chivu is said to be interested in a new shot-stopper, but they have also been linked with Lammens.
