“It Was Experimental”: Jerry Jones Makes Revelation Getting Involved In A ‘Drug’ During Cancer…

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was one among many who were diagnosed with stage four melanoma. While many NFL fans, analysts, and several others were surprised, Jones revealed his journey on how he became cancer-free.

“We got involved in a drug called PD-1, and it was experimental. It was very, very effective. I had several tumours at that time. They’re all gone now, and it’s 15 years later,”Jerry Jones said.

Jones stated that he was unaware that the disease was terminal. Thanks to the drug, Jones was able to recover fully. According to the American Cancer Society, it was an experimental drug that was used to treat Jerry Jones.

“When PD-1 binds to PD-L1, it tells the T cell (a key cell involved in the immune system) not to attack. Some cancer cells have large amounts of PD-L1, which helps them avoid being attacked by the immune system,” as per the American Cancer Society.

Jerry Jones was fortunate enough that the drug removed all cancerous cells and got him back to his usual self.

Jerry Jones Blasts The Buffalo Bills By Defending The Cowboys

“How long has it been since Buffalo won the Super Bowl?” Jones said.“Buffalo hasn’t been chopped liver. They’re solid. They’re probably in the top third of the NFL I just can’t get as convicted that the way we’re doing it, that our approach to trying to win a Super Bowl, that that needs to change. I guess that’s why I’m so defensive.”

Jones loves his team, and it’s natural for every owner to defend their franchise. Hopefully, the Cowboys will make it to the Super Bowl this season.

The NFL regular season is just around the corner, and Jones is yet to find common ground with Micah Parsons and Emmitt Smith. While Jones agreed that Parsons is an excellent player, he’s waiting to make the final call.
