Manor Solomon shares update amid Leeds United return links and £18m transfer announcement

Former Leeds United forward Manor Solomon has shared an update on social media amid speculation that he could return to Elland Road before the end of the summer.

Solomon, 26, spent last season on loan at Elland Road, scoring 10 goals and providing 13 assists in 41 appearances as he helped the Whites win the Championship title and earn promotion back to the Premier League.

There had been talk that Solomon might return to Leeds in a permanent deal, but the Israel international remains at parent club Tottenham. However, he didn't feature during their 3-0 win against Burnley on the opening weekend.

The reason for Solomon's absence was a calf issue, with the former Fulham and Shakhtar Donetsk man working his way back to full fitness. Now, he has been spotted back on the grass as he bids to return to action in the near future.

In an Instagram story, Solomon posted an image of himself running on the training field, and the caption: "Back in training," alongside a football emoji.

Solomon added a Jewish greeting: "Shabbat Shalom," accompanied with a folded hands emoji.

The fact Solomon is back in training could boost his chances of securing a move away from Tottenham before the end of the transfer window, but it appears his next destination will not be Leeds.

It's understood that Noah Okafor, who signed for the Whites in a £18m deal from AC Milan on Thursday, is a direct replacement for Solomon. There is an understanding that Leeds have moved on from Solomon and nothing has been concrete regarding a move for the Tottenham forward in the past month.

Okafor's move to West Yorkshire took the club's spending to just above £90m this summer. Alongside Ofakor, the Whites have signed Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sean Longstaff, Lucas Perri, Anton Stach and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Leeds kicked off their 2025/26 Premier League campaign with a 1-0 win against Everton on Monday. Lukas Nmecha proved to be the match-winner on the night as Leeds got their new season off to a perfect start.

Delivering his reaction to his side's success over Everton, Farke said post-match: "I think overall in a tight game, a hard-fought win but also a well-deserved win from my side. Outstanding performance. I think we were very dominant in the first half and had nearly 70 per cent possession, 12 shots already in the first half.

"I was a bit worried because especially as a newly promoted side, once you have such a dominant period, and it was more or less the whole first half that we dominated, normally you have to reward yourself also with the goal because at Premier League level one little moment can change your whole momentum.

"An experienced side like Everton can come into the game and take advantage, score a goal, and then the whole story is more like you get praise for the performance, but no points on the board.

"So I am pretty pleased that we were able in the second half to reward ourselves with this goal and also to protect this clean sheet."
