The Buffalo Bills have dealt with a lot of injuries during training camp this year. So who is to blame for the injuries and the time out we are seeing?
Bills already have a new strength and conditioning coach
Bills are being very cautious during camp
The Bills coaching staff has been holding players out with soreness, and it’s probably fair to think they are being conservative with guys they know are going to make the team. Benching Tyler Bass when he’s a little sore in the preseason makes sense. Ditto Dorian Williams and Terrel Bernard at linebacker, Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox at tight end, and more.
Are the Bills adding injury-prone players?
It could be that the Bills are signing injury-prone players, and we know that’s the case for Joey Bosa. But Bosa has been participating for the most part. Baylon Spector missed two games his senior year at Clemson but played in every other game of his college career. That didn’t translate to the pros, as he was oft injured.
The Bills only have one player on injured reserve
Only one player is on injured reserve for the Bills, as the team chose to waive Baylon Spector and the other players injured. Contrasting that with other teams, the Bills are pretty darn low.
Are you concerned with all the Bills injuries in camp?
Regardless of why, several Bills players have missed chunks of training camp. Does that concern you and which specific players are worth discussing here? Probably safety Cole Bishop, potentially wide receiver Curtis Samuel, but the list isn’t very long.
