The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to get back to the top of the mountain after the Philadelphia Eagles completely dismantled them in Super Bowl LIX. The Eagles ruined the Chiefs’ bid to become the first franchise to win three consecutive Super Bowls.
Ironically, only a few years ago, the Chiefs started their run of consecutive Super Bowl appearances against the very same Eagles, whom Kansas City defeated 38-35 in Super Bowl LVII.
However, one of the key members of the Super Bowl LVII team, who scored the Chiefs’ all-important fourth-quarter touchdown in the game, is being traded, per one prominent league insider.
“Another trade is now official: 49ers have acquired WR Skyy Moore and a seventh-round pick in 2027 from the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a sixth-round pick in 2027,” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Smart move by the 49ers—Skyy Moore has potential, and a fresh start could unlock it. Excited to see him in action!” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Skyy Moore had 3 targets and 0 receptions in 2024. Not sure this fixes the Niners receiving woes,” someone else added.
“49ers collecting wide receivers like they’re trading cards,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see what sort of impact Moore has in San Francisco.
