Real Madrid star still absent from training ahead of Real Oviedo clash

A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid was nowhere to be seen in first-team training yet again on Friday.

The player in question? Eduardo Camavinga.

The name of youngster Camavinga of course reemerged as an altogether prominent one in the media headlines in Spain’s capital earlier this month.

This came after word was forthcoming that the Frenchman had suffered a fresh injury setback.

Amid ongoing efforts to recover full fitness following a spell on the sidelines with a muscular issue, Camavinga picked up an ankle problem in training.

And if the latest images stemming from Valdebebas are anything to go by, the 22-year-old has evidently still not recovered.

Camavinga was a notable absentee from Real Madrid training this morning.

After missing Los Blancos’ opening day La Liga victory over Osasuna, the former Stade Rennais talent therefore looks set to sit out against Real Oviedo this weekend, too.
