Fabrizio Romano has reported that Galatasaray have now submitted a contract proposal to a “magnificent” Manchester City player after Hugo Viana sanctioned his sale.
Manchester City have been busy in the transfer market this summer, both in terms of incomings and also outgoings.
Over a dozen players have left Man City’s senior squad and Under-21 ranks this summer, either on loan or permanently.
Now, it looks as though the Citizens could be edging closer to selling another first-teamer as Galatasaray now tackle the player side of the deal.

Fabrizio Romano claimed earlier this week that a £15million deal has been agreed for Akanji between City and Galatasaray for the 30-year-old.
Now, Romano has taken to X to report that Galatasaray have sent their contract proposal to Akanji and his camp for their consideration.
As things stand, Akanji is “considering all options” and, as such, there is no agreement yet between him and any other club.

What Pep Guardiola has previously said about Manuel Akanji
Pep Guardiola has previously spoken very highly of Akanji.
“Manuel is really intelligent and great with the ball,” Guardiola said after the player’s debut.
“City brought me and the club a fantastic player. He’s a fantastic age at 27 and mature, so yeah, really good.”
Later in 2022, Guardiola told the City media team: “The movement he has to do as a full-back, the high pressing, he didn’t train once, and he did it perfectly.
“With the ball he is a magnificent player.
“Our build-up should be three in the back and that’s why in the position we normally play Kyle [Walker] or John [Stones].
“He was absolutely perfect. Proof again that intelligent people, always it pays off.”
However, Akanji was an unused substitute at Molineux, alongside Nathan Ake and Ilkay Gundogan, suggesting his future could lie away from the Etihad.
