David Moyes seems to be struggling to sign Everton’s remaining targets of the window, so an element of risk might have to be taken.
With just nine days of what has been an eventful summer, the Toffees are still on the search for more players.
Everton want three more signings, with a right winger, right back, and central midfielder being the point of focus.
But it seems that Moyes hasn’t ruled out a centre-back signing either, with many areas needing attention.
Another position could require the same need, and Thierno Barry knows this new Everton target very well.

Everton have now asked Villarreal about Thierno Barry’s former teammate Etta Eyong
It looks as though The Friedkin Group aren’t done with scouting players from Villarreal, as another name from the Spanish outfit has emerged.
Everton have contacted Villarreal regarding Cameroonian striker Etta Eyong, according to El Chiringuito TV.
The player wants to stay in Spain, but if he is told he won’t play, he wouldn’t be opposed to moving to the Premier League, as Moyes is looking to sign another forward.

This won’t please one team as TEAMtalk report that Rangers are ‘plotting a move’ for the exciting LaLiga striker as he is valued at around £8.6 million.
Although this might raise concern after potentially overpaying for a raw talent in Barry, there is certainly reason behind this possible pursuit.
Etta Eyong ‘trains phenomenally’ and could be the future for Everton
Eyong seems to be the next striker in the long line of promising forwards coming out of Villarreal, as like Barry, Nicolas Jackson also found his feet at the Yellow Submarine.
Manager Marcelino García Toral spoke to Eldesmarque about the 21-year-old and what he can bring to the table
“We are very pleased with their performance. He is a player who in preseason was certain and on day one he scored a very good goal that was 1-0 in a complicated execution,” Marcelino said.
“He trains phenomenally, he’s an adorable guy and professional and, from all points of view, we try to be fair. We were tighter this week but last week he played, and we had other options for the team to choose from.”
Eyong has already shown his promise this season after netting during Villarreal’s opener with an expert header.

He looks to be Barry’s replacement, but it seems as though the Toffees want to snatch another exciting star from the side.
Barry is expected to become Everton’s main man, but his former teammate might just have something to say about that.
