Chelsea produced a storming fightback at West Ham to get their first Premier League win of the season. Rocked by Cole Palmer withdrawing in the warm-up and then Lucas Paqueta's stunning early strike, the Blues responded swiftly as Joao Pedro headed in from Marc Cucurella's flick on.
In a frantic start, Hammers striker Niclas Fullkrug had a goal ruled out following a VAR check before Pedro impressed again, turning and crossing for Pedro Neto to sweep home. Estevao then cut past two defenders and set up Enzo Fernandez to tap in and make it 3-1, prompting home fans to leave. After the break, Moises Caicedo and Trevor Chalobah both pounced on defensive errors to score from close range and complete the rout.

Chelsea player ratings (4-2-3-1):
Robert Sanchez 5: The strike from a Pacqueta was a stunning one, but Sanchez should have done better, stepping the wrong way and momentarily caught of position. Distribution was again patchy and still does not convince.
Malo Gusto 6: Improved after a slow start and took up some good crossing positions, but his final ball was lacking.
Trevor Chalobah 7: Grew in stature as the night wore and looked good in possession, although with little pressure on him. Stayed firm when the home side produced a late flurry and made no mistake with his goal.
Tosin Adarabioyo 7: Like his centre-back partner, had the time to pick his passes but one vital second half clearance dealt with a rare moment of danger.
Marc Cucurella 7: Lost his man for the Fulkrug goal but VAR saved him. Aside from that, the usual all-action display and got forward well to link with Neto ahead of him.
Moises Caicedo 8: Influential as ever as West Ham struggled to get any grip in midfield. Kept his composure to finish expertly after keeper Mads Hermansen flapped at a cross.
Enzo Fernandez 8: Two of his corners led to goals and scored one of himself with a perfectly timed run into the area. Could have had a second but side footed over in the second half.
Esteavo 8: Still a raw talent but an exciting one. Effortlessly jinked past two defenders before teeing up Fernandez, but should have capped his display with a goal. Took one touch too many when played in by Reece James.
Pedro Neto 9: Quiet before his goal, excelled thereafter. A danger in attack and showed his willingness to work with one 40 metre run back to thwart an Aaron Wan-Bissaka cross. Was everywhere.
Joao Pedro 9: A quality display. Long before West Ham folded, headed his side level then showed real pace and quality to provide Neto moments later. Looks a strong signing.
Liam Delap 8: Worked hard, held the ball up well and involved in the build-up for the Fernandez goal. Will be disappointed to have gone off after an hour and just needs to score himself now.
Subs:
Jorrel Hato (for Cucurella, 69) 5: Should have had a comfortable 21 minutes to ease him into English football but was needlessly booked for a foul on Jarrod Bowen.
Wesley Fofana (for Chalobah, 69) 6: Like Hato, barely tested as the game petered out late on.
Reece James (for Gusto, 69) 7: Got on the ball and one raking pass should have led to a goal for Esteavo.
Jamie Gittens (for Esteavo, 77) 5: Struggled to get involved.
Andrey Santos (for Delap, 62) 6: Took up some good positions out wide but a couple of crosses were cleared too easily.
