City’s Premier League 2 campaign began with a 3-1 defeat away at Chelsea on Monday.
But the quick turnaround left no room for Ben Wilkinson’s side to dwell as preparation turned to Friday evening’s home tie with West Ham.
Goals from Ryan McAidoo, Reigan Heskey and Justin Oboavwoduo, plus a consolation from Hammers midfielder Mohamadou Kante, saw City earn a 3-1 win, our first of the season.
And Mukasa, who was delighted to secure a win on his 18th birthday against his former club, said the result was exactly what our EDS needed.

“I think it’s definitely what we needed after the result at the start of the week especially,” began Mukasa.
“I think we needed this just to get a bit of momentum back, get the spirits back up, so it was good.”
It’s two starts in two for Mukasa. It follows an intense and impressive pre-season, which included the 18-year-old making his senior debut in City’s pre-season friendly against Palermo.
And Mukasa detailed how he’s hoping to bring that experience to the EDS.
“I think intensity stuff and like leadership and making sure I’m helping drive the team,” said the midfielder.
“Because you need to be fully motivated for these games in order to get the result.”
