Bayern Munich are the surprise suitors for Manchester United flop Jadon Sancho, as Vincent Kompany intends to improve his wide options.
According to Fichajes, Jadon Sancho has a surprise suitor in Bayern Munich, with Vincent Kompany angling moves to improve his attacking setup. The Manchester United flop is eager for a new challenge, but clubs have already faced challenges in trying to find an agreement for the winger, with the Bavarians set to make an attempt.
Jadon Sancho has a year left on his Manchester United deal, with all parties now looking to part ways. The winger is not in the club’s plans, although his massive wages have created issues all summer in the quest to find him a suitor.
There were links to Juventus earlier, and a move to the Turin giants looked closer than ever at one stage. Of late, AS Roma have been trying to convince the Manchester United flop to make a move; however, Sancho is reluctant to join the Serie A giants.
Inter Milan were the latest to enter the race, and while there’s no clarity whether they are serious about the Manchester United flop, a late deal could materialise. There’s a surprise new suitor in the race for Sancho, as Bayern Munich have reportedly expressed an interest in taking the forward.
Bayern Munich recently signed Luis Diaz; however, they may feel a shortage of options in the attacking third following the injury to Jamal Musiala. Vincent Kompany wants to explore the market for options both on the wings and a backup striker to Harry Kane, as they are also interested in Newcastle United-linked Nicolas Jackson of Chelsea.
Will Bayern Munich make a move for Jadon Sancho?
Bayern Munich are probably the biggest team showing an interest in Sancho, and possibly the team that could come close to the player’s wage demands. Kompany has shortages of wingers, and could view the Manchester United flop’s experience in the Bundesliga as a plus point in their pursuit.
Whether they are serious about him remains to be seen, as the Bavarians might have other names on their list for the wide position. They might even consider paying less than what Manchester United want for Sancho, although if they are indeed serious, then there’s a deal to be done with the Red Devils for the unwanted winger.
