West Ham United fell to a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Chelsea in our 2025/26 home Premier League opener.
Although Lucas Paquetá fired the hosts into an early lead with a stunning strike from 25-yards, that early joy soon turned sour as Chelsea flipped the contest upside down.
Close-range goals by João Pedro, Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernández had the Blues 3-1 up by the break, after which two further strikes following corners, by Moisés Caicedo and Trevoh Chalobah, completed the scoring.
