As things continue to unravel with Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones has been on a bit of a press run ahead of the 2025 season. While he's made countless noteworthy remarks in recent weeks, the star linebacker's agent spoke out to set the record straight on one instance.
Among those Jones has taken the time to sit down and talk with is Cowboys legend Michael Irving. During their conversation, the longtime owner talked about allegedly reaching an agreement on an extension with Parsons. However, when it was sent to David Mulugheta, the agent gave a harsh reply.
"When we wanted to send the details to the agent, the agents told us to stick it up our a**," Jones said. "Micah and I talked, and then we were gonna send it over to the agent. We had our agreements on term, amount, guarantees, everything. We were gonna send it over to the agents, and the agent said don't bother because we got all that to negotiate.
In an expected turn of events, Parsons' representation had a much different version of the story.
Micah Parsons' agent reacts to Jerry Jones' latest viral remarks
After Jones' comments started making the rounds online, one former player turned analyst decided to get to the bottom of things. Upon speaking to Mulugheta, Ryan Clark took to social media to give the other sides of things. He stated that Jones' iteration of the story is very fabricated.
"He laughed and he said I never used that phrase in my life," Clark said. "So for anybody who is reporting that, for Jerry Jones saying that, this is false. This never happened. This is just another public way to make this situation, which is already ugly, even uglier. David Mulugheta in no way has ever told Jerry Jones or any other general manager or owner that."

Situations like this are a testament to just how off the rails things have gotten between Parsons and the Cowboys. Seeing that they're still at odds and taking public shots at one another, there is no telling if, when, and how this saga is going to reach its end.
With the start of the regular season just around the corner, many are anxiously waiting to see if Parsons will take the field after such a messy offseason with management.
