ANDONI Iraola admitted he had just picked players ahead of Romain Faivre last weekend at Liverpool.

Faivre featured for Iraola’s team across preseason, but the Basque boss said with competition fierce for the number 10 position, he opted not to include him in the match day squad at Anfield.

The Frenchman went on loan to Brest last season, having spent the 23/24 campaign at Lorient, so may be a player that the [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/) look to move on, as has been a trend of their window this summer.

But there was nothing beyond him not being picked behind his absence at Anfield, Iraola said.

“It's going to be for me and for them it's going to be difficult,” the boss told the Daily Echo.

“Yesterday we were training, with keepers and everything, with almost 28 players and I can put only 20 so especially in some positions, there in the number 10 I think we have a lot of players and it's difficult.

“It has to be difficult to get into the 20 and it has to be a fight and internal competition. But it's true that I'm choosing other players in front of him.”
