All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Chelsea after their clash with West Ham.

Chelsea returned to action on Friday night when they took on West Ham in another London derby, and attention now turns back to the summer transfer window. The Blues still have plenty of work to do before they close their business, and exits are currently the most likely deals.

Although, those exits will make space, particularly financially, for Chelsea to get more incoming deals done ,and there are two particular deals they want to get done. Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Stamford Bridge.

Exits latest

Borussia Dortmund are said to be in talks over a loan deal to sign Aaron Anselmino and a permanent deal to sign Carney Chukwuemeka.

Fabrizio Romano has posted on X: “Borussia Dortmund are set for direct face to face talks with Chelsea for Carney Chukwuemeka and Aaron Anselmino deals. BVB confident to make both happen.” Chukwuemeka is reportedly set to head out on a deal worth around £17million.

Jackson latest

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri believes Nicolas Jackson’s agent is guiding the striker towards a move to either Bayern Munich or Newcastle United amid reported talks over a £60million deal.

“In the coming days, the goal of agent Ali Barat is to transfer Nicolas Jackson either to FC Bayern or to Newcastle United, both ready to meet player’s conditions & in advanced negotiations with Chelsea. As a reminder, Bayern won’t make direct transfer payment. Wait&See.”

Maresca said of Jackson before the West Ham game: “[Jackson] is available but he’s not going to be part of the squad because, as we already said, we have two strikers, we have two players in that position and also we know that something can happen before the transfer window closes.”

Veiga departure confirmed

Chelsea confirmed the departure of Renato Veiga to Villarreal on Friday, with the versatile defender joining for around £25million.

Chelsea said in a statement: “Renato Veiga has left Chelsea and completed a permanent transfer to La Liga club Villarreal. Veiga made 18 appearances for the Blues during the first half of last season, having signed from FC Basel in July 2024. The defender earned his first senior caps for Portugal while at the club.

“The 22-year-old joined Juventus on loan in January and featured 15 times for the Serie A side over the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign. We thank Renato for his efforts during his time at Chelsea and wish him well as he begins a new chapter in his career.”

Villarreal boss Marcelino has said: “Renato is a good player to reinforce the centre-back position. For his age, he has great experience and he can give us an immediate performance.”
