📈 Stock Report | Four Standouts in Final Preseason Action vs. Eagles

WR Jamaal Pritchett

WR Jamaal Pritchett emerged as a popular target for QB Adrian Martinez during the fourth quarter, recording 4 receptions for 54 yards. Pritchett's first reception of the night was a key third-down conversion, and Martinez found the rookie receiver again on the ensuing play. Pritchett turned a 1-yard catch into an 11-yard gain, breaking several tackles to pick up another first down. The back-to-back receptions were an integral part of the Jets' first touchdown scoring drive of the game.

On the next offensive possession, Martinez found Pritchett for a 25-yard gain -- the pair's longest connection on the night. The completion was part of the Green & White's second scoring drive of the day -- rookie RB Donovan Edwards found the end zone for the score three plays later.

"Pritch -- he's one of those guys," HC Aaron Glenn said. "I can't say that he's a [roster] lock, but I'll tell you what -- he put himself in a position for us to really look at and see where he fits."

Pritchett also provided a spark during the third quarter with a 41-yard punt return. He later added a 22-yard return late in the fourth quarter. Pritchett showed some resolve that impressed Glenn -- his two returns came after a muffed punt during the first quarter that he ultimately recovered.

"That's what this league is about," Glenn said. "We can sit there and talk about the fumble that he had. But you look at the plays he made after that -- again, resilient. We're not down on that player. It happens in this league. You don't want it to happen, and you coach him on the mistake. But then again, he's the type of player that goes right back out there and makes plays. That's intriguing to see a player operate like that."

DT Payton Page and Edge Braiden McGregor

Rookie defensive tackle Payton Page has had a strong training camp, and the Clemson product capped it off with an impressive showing Friday night. During the first quarter, Page took down QB Kyle McCord for a sack and a 3-yard loss.

Edge Braiden McGregor had the team's only other sack of the game, swallowing up McCord for a 13-yard loss on third down during the third quarter.
