A look at the most valuable soon-to-be Premier League free agents as London clubs keep an eye out for new arrivals.
Here we take a look at the most valuable players, according to Transfermarkt, who are currently on course to be available on a free transfer next summer, which will also tell us who can potentially be signed on discount deals this summer. Take a look below.
Ibrahima Konaté - Liverpool
Konaté has been a key player for Liverpool but he is out of contract at the age of 26 next summer. The Reds have not yet managed to tie him down to a new contract, and should he become available, the centre-back will be one of the most sought-after free agents in world football next summer. Liverpool will not want to let that happen.
Marc Guehi - Crystal Palace
Guehi is on this list, but he is not likely to be for much longer. Guehi will almost certainly be sold by Crystal Palace this summer, and Liverpool are said to have had talks. You do, however, wonder whether Guehi going to Liverpool could reduce the Reds’ chances of tying Konate down to a new deal.
Bernardo Silva - Man City
The 31-year-old signed a one-year extension last summer but looks likely to leave next year. A superb creative talent, Silva can still offer plenty in the Premier League, and he will likely be in-demand next summer if he does indeed become available.
Yoane Wissa - Brentford
Wissa falls into the category of not likely to be on this list come next summer. Wissa has been pushing for an exit, and there is reportedly interest from Newcastle United this summer. Brentford are very likely to sell at some point, and Wissa is not likely to become a free agent, even though he is on course to be one.
Rodrigo Bentancur - Tottenham
Tottenham need to address this situation, and they are expected to ramp up contract talks with the midfielder when the summer transfer window closes. Other clubs will be keeping an eye out, though, and perhaps attempting to turn the midfielder’s head. He is only 28 years of age, and he is certainly a player who will be looked at by top clubs if he becomes available.
Vitaliy Mykolenko - Everton
The left-back is likely to receive fresh contract offers from Everton, and there have been reports that he is happy and willing to sign one. But he has not put pen-to-paper yet, and that means he is on course to be available next summer. Clubs will be looking on to see if there is an opportunity to sign a very competent full-back who is still only 26.
Jadon Sancho - Man Utd
Sancho is likely to move on this summer as United look to get something back on their £70million investment, although not even close to what they paid. Sancho did pretty well with Chelsea and should find a Champions League club at some point. He is very unlikely to be available next summer, but he is on course to be out of contract for now.
Yves Bissouma - Tottenham
Tottenham have a decision to make over Bissouma after signing Joao Palhinha on loan from Fulham. Pape Matar Sarr is seen as being ahead of Bissouma, and given the latter’s contract situation, it would seem a sale this summer is most likely. Though, Spurs could end up keeping him around until January or next summer without offering a new deal. This is one to keep an eye on.
John Stones - Man City
At 31 years of age, Stones could well become available next summer, though a short-term contract offer is not out of the question. If the defender does become available, there are a host of London club who may well be interested.
Callum Hudson-Odoi - Nottingham Forest
Hudson-Odoi is currently on course to become available next summer, but reports this week have claimed that Forest are close to agreeing a new contract for the winger, and they would be wise to do so.
