His cameo from the bench for Fulham aged 16 years and 30 days would later be surpassed by Arsenal's Ethan Nwaneri three years later, but it was clear he was destined for big things.
The future looked very different for Walsall defender Mason Hancock who had risen through the ranks at Fulham with Elliott and fellow Premier League star Fabio Carvalho.
But the path that both embarked on came as no surprise to the Walsall summer recruit.

"You knew the kind of player that Fabio would be from the moment he came in. Unbelievable," Hancock recalls.
"He was doing things with a ball that none of us could even dream of and it's the exact same thing with Harvey.
"Harvey came in from QPR when he was 14. I'll never forget when he turned up for a friendly in a Real Madrid top with Ronaldo on the back.
