**Liverpool head coach Arne Slot says Joe Gomez is a doubt for the trip to Newcastle on Monday night.**
The 28-year-old did play the last 20 minutes of the 4-2 win over Bournemouth, but speaking in his pre-match press conference, Slot was not sure that Gomez would be in the matchday squad for the match at St James’ Park:
“I wouldn’t say he had a setback, but he wasn’t able to train three days in a row completely with the team, which is completely normal if you’re out for so long and all of a sudden the manager needs you for 20 minutes.”
“But he is training with the team, so let’s see where he is on Monday, if he can be involved in the team or if he can even start.”

Conor Bradley
-------------
The fullback did not make the squad for the Community Shield defeat to Crystal Palace or the victory against Bournemouth in the opening Premier League fixture.
However, Slot confirmed that Bradley did take part in full training “for the first time” on Thursday, which puts him in with a chance of featuring versus the Magpies.
Considering that the Northern Ireland international won’t be match fit, though, it is very unlikely that he will be named in the starting lineup.
Bradley is expected to have a late fitness test to decide whether he is able to make the bench.

Jeremie Frimpong
----------------
The Dutchman pulled his hamstring in the second half of the win over Bournemouth. He was substituted on the hour mark at the request of the medical team.
Slot said his staff made the “right” call by bringing Frimpong off the pitch when they did.
There was a danger that the right-back could have been sidelined for longer, but he is expected to make his comeback right after the international break. He will miss the [**Newcastle**](https://walkon.com/blog/liverpool-transfer-news-alexander-isak-newcastle-brentford/) and Arsenal fixtures.
**Expected Return Date – Burnley (a) – Sunday 14th September**
