Leandro Trossard has agreed a new deal with Arsenal.
The new deal will see him earn a significant pay rise, although there will be no extension beyond the scheduled contract expiry date of 2027.
That should eventually end speculation that Trossard will leave the club this summer and may also put to rest talk of the club bringing in another wide forward before the transfer window closes.
Since signing from Brighton in the January 2023 transfer window, Trossard has proven to be a valuable addition for Mikel Arteta—versatile and able to play in several positions. He is also regarded as one of the best natural finishers at the club.
With Arteta keen to use the full depth of his squad this season, Trossard is expected to receive his fair share of game time, although he did not feature in the season opener against Manchester United, remaining on the bench. That may have been due to the minor groin injury he picked up during the pre-season tour of Asia, with the coaching staff deciding it was not worth the risk.
