Leeds United have done an excellent job when it comes to recruitment this summer. The club have been able to add some serious depth and quality, which will be a huge boost to their Premier League survival chances.
However, there are still some problems with the club’s window – especially when it comes to departures. Leeds have only made one permanent sale this summer, with the rest being temporary exits. The transfer window closes this week, and there is a whole bunch of players still under contract who are not in the first team plans.

Three players who could leave Leeds United this week
There have been some exits this summer, including Diogo Monteiro – the only permanent exit in this window. Joe Gelhardt, Max Wober and Mateo Joseph have all left on loan deals. Charlie Crew was also loaned out to Doncaster Rovers to gain some valuable first team experience.
We take a look at some of the prime candidates to leave Elland Road this week.

The striker was one of the first players to be told he was surplus to requirements in pre-season. But since then, there has been no news on that front. Bamford played some friendlies with the U21s, but is still under contract with the club. He has been linked with a move away, but his wages will make it difficult to facilitate any exits.

Schmidt is experiencing a weird summer window. After Leeds agreed to send him out on loan, he featured in consecutive pre-season games in place of the injured Jayden Bogle. Werder Bremen still expect a deal to be completed soon. But as it stands, the fullback is still in West Yorkshire. He failed to make the matchday squad against Everton, which could be a sign of things to come

Another player Daniel Farke made his opinion clear on. Since he was benched in the run in last season, many expected him to leave. He has had interest from European clubs, but none of them have made a concrete offer to sign him. If he does not get a move, he might stay and run out his contract next summer. Meslier was left out of the matchday squad to face Everton.
