Federico Chiesa has become something of a cult hero at Liverpool despite only being with the club for a season.
The Italian made the move to the Premier League last summer after a deal worth around £12.5million was agreed by Liverpool and Juventus.
Many expected the Italian attacker to be one of the bargains of the window, but instead, he was miles off the pace and hardly chosen to play by Arne Slot.

This season, due to the sale of players such as Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez, there’s now a clearer path for the attacker into Liverpool’s starting XI, but that hasn’t stopped some rumours about his future from being shared.
Federico Chiesa is not a ‘topic of discussion’ at Bayern Munich
Several clubs from across the globe have been linked with a move for Chiesa this summer.
The vast majority of interest has come from the Serie A, with clubs such as Napoli and AC Milan both showing an interest in him.
In the end, however, it seems like Chiesa is set to stay at Anfield and fight for his place.
That is, according to Christian Falk, who helped clarify the situation about the Italy international’s future.

“It’s not true that Liverpool’s Federico Chiesa is once again a topic of discussion at FC Bayern,” he said to Caught Offside.
“The 27-year-old Italian forward is contracted to Liverpool until the summer of 2028. It should be stated clearly for the record that Bayern never held a serious interest in bringing the former Juventus star to Säbener Straße.
“Either way, Chiesa has made it clear to the club that he wants to stay at Anfield.”
Federico Chiesa could be a key part of Liverpool’s plans this season
This season is likely the last chance that Chiesa is set to get to try and prove his worth to Slot.
The Italian is now the Reds’ fourth-choice attacker, and even though another player could be brought in, the fact that he can be used across the front three makes him an important part of Liverpool’s plans.
That is, especially when AFCON comes around, as the Italian will likely be used to fill in for Mohamed Salah while he’s away.

Indeed, the tournament isn’t until December, but if he can manage to get into a decent run of form, it’ll likely give him plenty of confidence to try and help the Reds earn as many points as possible this term.
Of course, only time will tell what the future has in store, but with the way things have started for Chiesa, it feels like he may finally get back to the form he showed during Euro 2020 when Italy beat England.
