2 sources state Arsenal eyeing late move for Belgium international– Player up for Gunners move

Arsenal’s Kai Havertz was initially expected to be spend a short time on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury. The latest claims from the UK have said he could be out longer than expected.

The Gunners are said to looking for options this summer, even after their Eberechi Eze move, and are targeting Sevilla’s Dodi Lukébakio.

That’s at least what Vamos Mi Sevilla FC are reporting, and they say Arsenal have the 27-year-old as one of their options.

The outlet indicates Sevilla value Lukébakio at around €40-45m, and they believe Arsenal will be able to afford it.

It’s further claimed the Belgium international ‘won’t object’ to a sale if Mikel Arteta’s side were to make an approach late in this window.

Orgullo Biri are also reporting the attacker is on Arsenal’s agenda, after Havertz picked up an injury. They add Lukébakio stands out among the options because of his goal scoring ability and pace.

According to the outlet, the Andalusian club aren’t ruling out negotiations if Arsenal were to make a significant offer. They are in need of funds to register players and also carry out new signings.

Arteta sees the German as a No.9, while Lukébakio mainly operates on the right wing. The Belgian can also be used as a striker and a left winger and played 44 games as a No.9 in his career, managing 17 goals and five assists.

It looks like Sevilla are hoping for Arsenal to make an approach for Lukébakio, which may be prompting the report.
