Leeds United are travelling to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal in a tough first away game of the season, and there is already one notable absentee.

The Whites signed winger Largie Ramazani from Almeria a year ago to help Leeds win the Championship, and the attacker was a very useful squad player.

However, with Leeds signing Noah Okafor from AC Milan, an attacking departure could be on the cards, and Ramazani may be the one sacrificed.

Leeds will already be missing captain Ethan Ampadu, and have now been handed another blow as it appears Ramazani is absent from the matchday squad.

Leeds recorded a 1-0 victory over Everton in their opening game of the season, but they will face a different kind of test at the Emirates, and could use pace on the counter.

Ramazani could have been a useful substitute in this sense, but Graham Smyth has now reported that he is not in the squad, and he could leave in the final week of the transfer window.

Ramazani started just seven of his 29 Championship appearances last season, and many have criticised Daniel Farke for not using him more.

The 24-year-old has scored seven goals and provided two assists for Leeds.

Brenden Aaronson and Jack Harrison were preferred as substitutes against Everton.

“Hearing that Largie Ramazani hasn’t travelled with the squad,” Smyth posted on X.

“No idea if there’s an injury. Of the wingers, he would be the likeliest to attract interest.

“Would be a shame if he went. Difference maker, on the ball at least. See what Farke says. Safe travels all. Have fun. Win.”

Daniel Farke to face criticism if Largie Ramazani leaves

Unless the offer is too good to turn down, many Leeds fans will be frustrated with Farke if Ramazani ends up leaving after falling down the pecking order.

Harrison was booed when he came on against Everton, and fans would much rather see Ramazani given more opportunities, with the Belgian possessing more flair and speed but a lower defensive work-rate than the Englishman.

Leeds recruited Okafor to strengthen their attacking qualities out wide, and Ramazani still provides good depth across the attacking line.

Losing him without an additional replacement would make the squad weaker, and Farke will only be sabotaging himself if he actively makes this decision in the final week of the window.
