Sevilla have been left surprised by José Ángel Carmona’s refusal to join Nottingham Forest, with them keen on the sale.

They say that the defender’s move to Nottingham Forest has been halted, and although there is a chance it can be reactivated, that’s not currently on the cards.
At the moment it’s hit a snag and according to Mucho Deporte’s sources, the situation is as follows: apart from minor details, there is an agreement between both clubs for around €11m including variables.
That part has gone smoothly but when it came to talking to the player, everything went awry. Carmona insisted that he’s not leaving. He doesn’t see a move to the Premier League as a clear decision despite being offer a five-year deal that would double his salary.
He has blocked the departure, so much so that he trained as part of Sevilla’s squad on Friday when the club had expected him to be on a plane to England.
The Spanish side have been left surprised by his decision. They can only see advantages for everyone in the deal, including the player. But he has said no and for now, it doesn’t appear that he’ll be moving to Nottingham Forest this summer.
