'We are delighted': Everton chief shares internal excitement after TFG strike off-field deal

Everton’s opening game at their state-of-the-art new stadium is now just hours away.

The Hill Dickinson Stadium is ready to welcome a capacity crowd for a Premier League game for the very first time on Sunday.

Fans will be desperate to take their seats on the docks with Everton welcoming Brighton & Hove Albion for the first competitive game.

David Moyes will be fully focused on landing three points on Sunday, but there are a lot of positives to come from the new stadium before a ball has even been kicked.

Everton have secured a big naming rights deal for their new stadium, which will provide a big boost for the club’s finances.

Ahead of the game on Sunday, Everton have now announced a fresh partnership, which has those inside the club very excited.

On Saturday morning, Everton shared their new partnership with Pepsi, which will bring another global player into the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

“We are delighted to welcome Pepsi MAX as a Founding Partner of Hill Dickinson Stadium,” said Everton’s Chief Partnerships Officer Mark Rollings.

“To partner with such a globally renowned organisation is a huge endorsement of our new home and reflects the scale of opportunity that the stadium represents. Pepsi MAX is a brand recognised and enjoyed by millions of people around the world, and we are excited to work with them to enhance the matchday experience for our fans and bring fresh energy to our new stadium.”

It may be trivial to some, but this marks the reach of Everton’s new stadium by landing an agreement with such a huge brand.

Everton’s new stadium will open new marketing opportunities, which will, in turn, bring considerable funding into the club.

Everton fans will love the Pepsi announcement

Everton legend Peter Reid was present for the Goodison Park finale, and he recently played a role in the legends game at the new stadium.

The 69-year-old has now even featured in the announcement video for the partnership with Pepsi.

And Everton fans will love the play on the phrase ‘chicken and a can of Coke’, which Pepsi have given their own twist on.

You heard it from Reidy first – it’s only #Pepsi round here.
