Everton have confirmed Pepsi MAX as a Founding Partner of Hill Dickinson Stadium and are hoping to use the deal to create a new Liverpool saying.
The five-year partnership will see Pepsi MAX become the club’s ‘Official Soft Drink Supplier’, bringing one of the world’s most recognisable and enjoyed brands to Everton’s new home. Supporters will see Pepsi MAX branding across a range of stadium assets, including LED boards, retail points and digital menus, while products from within the PepsiCo portfolio – including Pepsi MAX and other leading brands – will be available throughout concourses at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
To celebrate the partnership, there is a video featuring across the Everton and Pepsi social channels that includes Everton Giant and former England International Peter Reid, fans and club staff asking for: “chicken and a can of… Pepsi!”
The sequence starts with Gemma Barraclough, who plays Mia-Louise in ITV sitcom G’Wed, walking into a fast-food restaurant and placing her order, only to be put in her place by Huyton-born Reid, 69. An Everton groundsman, mowing the pitch at Hill Dickinson Stadium, then asks for chicken and a Pepsi for his dinner before Blues fans, including Pepper Mills, also enjoy the combination.
Mark Rollings, Chief Partnerships Officer at Everton, said: “We are delighted to welcome Pepsi MAX as a Founding Partner of Hill Dickinson Stadium. To partner with such a globally renowned organisation is a huge endorsement of our new home and reflects the scale of opportunity that the stadium represents.
“Pepsi MAX is a brand recognised and enjoyed by millions of people around the world, and we are excited to work with them to enhance the matchday experience for our fans and bring fresh energy to our new stadium.”
