Arsenal could be offered an opportunity to sign Real Madrid forward Rodrygo before the transfer deadline, according to Punch Sports.
The Gunners are reportedly set to discuss a potential late move for the 24-year-old Brazilian with his agent, Pini Zahavi, after he requested meetings with two Premier League clubs to gauge interest in a deal.
Zahavi is said to have arrived in London on Wednesday and is looking to meet representatives of both Arsenal and Liverpool for talks over Rodrygo, whose future at Real Madrid remains uncertain with just over a week left in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal would only be able to move for the 24-year-old if sales are made, having already agreed a reported £68m deal to sign Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze.
The Gunners have also recently agreed a new contract with Leandro Trossard, keeping his deal until 2027 but giving him a pay rise.
Arsenal Set for Talks with Rodrygo’s Agent
Rodrygo in action for Real Madrid
According to Punch Sports (print edition, 22 August), Real Madrid are open to Rodrygo’s departure before the deadline and would like to receive around €100m (£87m) for his signature.
The 'world-class' Brazil international is also believed to be keen on leaving, having seen his playing time and role diminish under new manager Xabi Alonso.
Rodrygo was left on the bench for Real’s season-opening 1-0 win over Osasuna on Tuesday, with Alonso confirming it was his decision to leave the forward without minutes.
However, the ex-Bayer Leverkusen boss downplayed Rodrygo's lack of involvement and insisted he still counts on the former Santos player for now.
Rodrygo also barely featured under Alonso at the Club World Cup, where he made three appearances and one start, amassing just 92 minutes of action.
Arsenal are set to take their summer spending past the £250m mark following their deal for Eze, who is close to becoming their seventh senior arrival of the window.
The Gunners have also signed Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard, Noni Madueke and Cristhian Mosquera, while Jorginho, Thomas Partey and Takehiro Tomiyasu have all departed on free transfers.
