Former Premier League midfielder Jamie Redknapp believes Leeds United will have renewed hope they can beat the drop this season after West Ham's woeful start to the new campaign.
The Hammers fell to the foot of the Premier League table on Friday night as they were thrashed 5-1 by Chelsea at the London Stadium.
Defeat to their London rivals comes after Graham Potter's side lost 3-0 to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light last weekend.

And Redknapp believes the Hammers' squad is not good enough, and back-to-back defeats will have the Premier League's newly promoted sides - Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland - growing in confidence that they can finish above the 2023 Conference League winners.
Speaking on Sky Sports' Friday Night Football, Redknapp said: "If I'm Sunderland, Burnley, Leeds, I'm looking at West Ham and thinking, 'they're the ones, they're the weakest team in the Premier League we're going to catch.'
"That squad isn't good enough. They haven't got enough good players. That midfield just couldn't get near; they didn't have the legs to get around. They need to get someone with real legs."
Speaking after last week's defeat to Sunderland, West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen said he was "fuming" with his side's performance.
“I’m obviously fuming. It’s the start of the season, they’re obviously on a high and in the Premier League, if you don't take your opportunities, it's only a matter of time (before your opponents do)," said the attacker.
"If you don't defend well enough (they score), and I thought the goals were quite easy, and we're all disappointed on the manner that we conceded the goals.
"You're going to lose games at this level if that happens. So obviously, I’m disappointed and fuming with the start that we've had today."
Leeds United, meanwhile, marked their return to the Premier League with a 1-0 win over Everton at Elland Road on Monday.
The Whites face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
