A new report has provided a teaser into what the upcoming Wor Flags display will represent before the Premier League clash between Newcastle United and Liverpool.
A Monday night game at St James’ Park under the lights? The Premier League could not have picked a better time to stage a game between the Magpies and the Reds, given what has gone on behind the scenes this summer.
Liverpool are seriously interested in signing Alexander Isak, who is now refusing to play for Newcastle United after the club told him that he will not be sold this summer.
Eddie Howe has confirmed that Isak will not play against Liverpool. Though he is more than happy to welcome the Sweden international back into first-team training whenever he is ready.
Even though it is the second game of the season, some fans are viewing it as the biggest of the campaign because of what has happened behind closed doors. As ever, Wor Flags will put on a memorable display, and a new report has provided a teaser into what fans should expect from their first display of the Premier League season.

Wor Flags to put on a display representing togetherness for Newcastle United vs Liverpool
After a hiatus lasting a number of years, Wor Flags returned to St James’ Park on the night of the takeover in 2021, signalling that a new era was present on Tyneside.
The fan-led group have put on some iconic displays at St James’ Park and even at Wembley Stadium in recent years. It was revealed that Bruno Guimaraes inspired Wor Flags’ Carabao Cup final display in March after comments about him and his teammates etching themselves into the history books.
Now, Wor Flags faced a fresh challenge ahead of the Liverpool game. What do they do in the midst of Isak’s transfer saga?

No images have been released of the display, but according to The Athletic, the upcoming display is less about the player and more about togetherness and an affirmation that a ‘united Newcastle is a strong Newcastle’.
The report adds that Wor Flags have attempted to reflect Howe’s thinking, and will look at the positives. At the end of the day, Isak is still a Newcastle player, so a direct attack on him would solve nothing.
However, the report adds that the message is one which is aimed at the striker, though it remains to be seen if he will acknowledge it.
St James’ Park could be heading for its best night in years for Newcastle United vs Liverpool
Newcastle will be keen to get one over on Liverpool on the pitch, especially after everything that has happened off it.
Arne Slot will be aware that his side are entering into enemy territory on Monday night, and that the atmosphere will be hostile. While there is a lot of excitement around the game, it is important that the players keep their heads and do not let the occasion get to them too much, as there are still three points up for grabs.
The Newcastle fans do not need encouragement for Monday night’s game; the excitement has been building.
Guimaraes said he can’t wait to play at St James’ Park, while new signing Anthony Elanga is excited for his home debut for Newcastle.
They and the other players will be aware of what they need to do to get all three points on Monday night.
