Leeds United are now leading the race for Racing Strasbourg winger Dilane Bakwa and are ready to meet their asking price.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who reports that Leeds are willing to pay around €35m to make the deal happen before the end of the transfer window.
He reports that Leeds have stepped ahead of Nottingham Forest in the race for Bakwa, although he insists that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have not left the race as yet.
Instead, it appears that Leeds have just picked up the pace and their willingness to pay what Strasbourg want has put them at the front of the queue.
Leeds boss Daniel Farke has openly admitted that he would like to improve his forward options before the end of the window, having spent this improving his midfield and defence with signings such as Anton Stach, Jaka Bijol, Sean Longstaff and Gabriel Gudmundsson.
Noah Okafor arrive in a €19m deal from AC Milan this week and it seems they’re now looking at strengthening the right wing with the signing of Bakwa from Strasbourg.
