Nottingham Forest and Manchester City are facing competition from Atalanta for Monaco midfielder Soungoutou Magassa.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who report that the young midfielder now has the three clubs potentially battling it out for him this summer.
They explain that things have been seriously heating up around Magassa in the last few days. Initially it appeared that it would be a straight battel between Nottingham Forest and West Ham for him.
Nottingham Forest have made a bid of €17m, while West Ham’s is worth €1m less at €16m. Those offers are both on the table, though.
However, Atalanta are looking like they could insert themselves into the matter. They’ve not made an offer yet but have contacted the player’s entourage to inquire about his situation.
They’re seemingly keen on the youngster too and it could lead to an intense battle for his signature in the final days of the window.
That would suit Monaco, who would use the situation to their advantage and play Nottingham Forest, West Ham and Atalanta against each other to ramp up Magassa’s price and secure an even better deal for themselves.
