'Not realistic': Vieira will not leave Arsenal for Bundesliga club

Stuttgart are reportedly not expected to sign Arsenal attacking midfielder Fabio Vieira this summer.

The 25-year-old has failed to establish himself at the Emirates Stadium since he joined Arsenal from Porto in the summer of 2022.

After being deemed surplus to requirements, Vieira returned to the Portuguese giants on loan for the 2024-25 season.

Vieira made 42 competitive appearances last term, scoring five goals and providing six assists before returning to his parent club.

Vieira to Stuttgart is 'not realistic'

However, Mikel Arteta has no plans to bring Vieira back into the fold, meaning he will have to find a new club in the closing stages of the summer transfer window.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Stuttgart had made an approach over a potential move for the former Portugal Under-21 international.

But, according to journalist Florian Plettenburg, a move to Stuttgart is not a realistic possibility, which ultimately closes off one possible exit route for Vieira.

Arsenal have received a number of enquiries for the attacker, and they are still looking to offload him before the end of the window.

The Gunners will surely prefer to sanction a permanent departure, but there is a possibility that he could seal another loan exit.

Could Vieira still head to Germany?

While a move to Stuttgart is seemingly off the table, Vieira could still complete a move to the Bundesliga this summer.

In his update, Plettenburg claims that time will tell whether German champions Bayern Munich could 'step in' for the former Porto man.

Bayern are looking to bring in more reinforcements in a bid to add crucial depth to Vincent Kompany's squad.

West Ham United have**previously been mentioned**as another suitor for Vieira, although it remains to be seen whether they step up their interest ahead of the September 1 deadline.
