Prickly Pete Prisco of CBS has a knack for getting a reaction out of people. Shoot, he can even get under Ira Kaufman’s skin barking about the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
So in a recent Prosco sitdown discussing playoff predictions for the 2025 postseason, Prisco nearly got co-host and Cowboys fan Hailey Sutton to freak out when she introduced the segment on the NFC.
> “I mean, Pete, the Bucs? One seed? Why!”
Yep, you read that correctly.
The Bucs will have [the top seed](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zo-13b0ls2k) in the NFC, says Prisco. One reason, as he explained to Sutton, is the Bucs have four “layups” on the schedule. Prisco thinks the Bucs will sweep the Stinking Panthers (he’s _way_ down on Bryce Young) and the slimy Saints.
So Prisco thinks the Bucs get at least a four-win edge on other teams from playing in a soft division.
Co-host and former NFL vagabond defensive end Leger Douzable, a Todd Bowles player with the Jets, couldn’t go there with Prisco. While Douzable thinks the Bucs can get to the NFC title game, he has the Dixie Chicks winning the division. Douzable also believes Young will come of age this fall.
So there’s one guy giving the Bucs massive props. That would be prickly Pete Prisco of CBS.
