Kai Rooney announced his arrival to Manchester United Under-18s side with a goal as the young Reds thrashed Middlesbrough 5-0 on Saturday.
The 15-year-old made his debut off the bench last weekend at Everton and was again among the substitutes against Boro.
And with United in charge of the contest, Rooney came on in the second half and rounded out the scoring. It was a significant moment in the early career of the talented teenager - son of United great Wayne.
United have a youthful Under-18s side this season and another much talked about prospect JJ Gabriel also caught the eye with two goals.
The forward is only 14 and has trained with Ruben Amorim's first team with United having high hopes for the youngster.
Gabriel played through the middle of the frontline having previously operated from a wide position.
He struck either side of the break with Bendito Mantato opening the scoring midway through the first half with Amir Ibragimov also on target.
It was Ibragimov who scored the only goal of the game in United's season opener when they were 1-0 winners at Everton in the first game of the Under-18 Premier League season.
Rooney has impressed coming through the academy at Old Trafford and is playing up an age group with United fielding a young side at Under-18 level this season.
