Arsenal are back in Premier League action this evening as they take on newly promoted Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners are heavy favourites to make two wins from two at the start of the new season, thus setting them up nicely for next weekend's showdown with reigning champions Liverpool at Anfield.
Mikel Arteta's side were by no means at their fluent best in the 1-0 win over Manchester United six days ago, but his players defended resolutely and showed plenty of character to pick up three points. That said, there will be plenty of eyes on the performance today as a big improvement is expected from the hosts on that particular front.
Summer signing Viktor Gyokeres struggled at Old Trafford, though with Kai Havertz out injured, he is in line to make his home debut as Arsenal take on a Leeds team that beat Everton on their return to the top-flight. Arsenal will be without Kai Havertz because of a knee injury. Summer signing Christian Norgaard is a week or so from returning to action and Gabriel Jesus is a long-term absentee.
