Daniel Levy relaunches Tottenham interest in player – Could end up gazumping Crystal Palace

Tottenham have entered the battle for Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss and could be about to gazump Crystal Palace to him.

That’s according to Africa Foot, who report that Tottenham have inserted themselves in the picture for the Leicester City man after it appeared that Crystal Palace would secure his signature.

They state that a move to Crystal Palace appeared to be on track but there could now be a dramatic turnaround as Tottenham have entered the fray.

Sources who are ‘very close’ to the player report that Tottenham have made their move, with the effort coming directly from Daniel Levy.

They need to find an alternative to Eberechi Eze, who they had expected to sign from Palace before he instead ended up going to Arsenal.

It remains to be seen if they will convince El Khannouss and make an offer to Leicester for him. There’s also a question of whether the player will change his choice.

He’s already reached an agreement in principle with Crystal Palace and the latest discussions with Leicester have centred on a deal worth around €35m.

Tottenham, specifically Levy, have now relaunched their interest, though, and that could see a dramatic turnaround in the final days of the window.
