Just in: Ruben Amorim makes big decision on £200,000-a-week Man Utd star ahead of Fulham clash

Ruben Amorim has included Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana in his squad to face Fulham on Sunday, GIVEMESPORT correspondent Sam Cohen has revealed.

The Red Devils opened their Premier League campaign up with a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at Old Trafford last weekend, with Onana left in the stands having missed all of pre-season with a hamstring injury.

Altay Bayindir got the nod to start the game with Tom Heaton on the bench, but the Turkish stopper was largely at fault for the Gunners' only goal of the game as he was bullied at a corner and failed to punch a cross away, which allowed Riccardo Calafiori to nod in from point-blank range.

Amorim confirmed during his pre-match press conference that Onana was available to play Arsenal, but he opted against selecting him, and suggested that he had a decision to make this week too.

But it has now emerged that the Cameroon international, who earns around £200,000-a-week at Old Trafford, is with the travelling squad heading to London for the game at Craven Cottage on Sunday afternoon.

It remains unclear whether or not the 29-year-old will start the game, but the fact he is now part of the travelling squad would suggest that he is in the manager's thinking for the starting lineup.

News of Onana's reinstatement to the squad comes as the club close in on a move to sign Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens in a £17m deal ahead of next weeks transfer deadline.

The 23-year-old has already said yes to the move and talks are advancing over a move to bring the stopper to Old Trafford from Royal Antwerp, where it's expected that he will compete with Onana for the number one jersey this season. Bayindir is now expected to move on before the window closes, while veteran Heaton will provide added cover.
