It was another frustrating outing for Jorgen Strand Larsen against Bournemouth, and he didn’t hide how he was feeling when he was replaced in Wolves’ 1-0 loss.
If there’s one positive to take from this Bournemouth game, it’s that it was a better performance than last weekend.
Aside from that, there isn’t much to shout about. Wolves went down early following a mistake from Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, and after Toti Gomes got sent off in the 49th minute, the result seemed a foregone conclusion.

There were some bright moments scattered throughout the game, but overall, Wolves couldn’t create clear-cut chances and in particular, Jorgen Strand Larsen was starved of service.

Strand Larsen was replaced by Hwang Hee-chan in the 78th minute, after a painfully quiet day up top.
Wolves journalist Nathan Judah was on hand to observe the Norwegian’s reaction as he left the pitch.

Strand Larsen has been the subject of heavy speculation as Newcastle have made their interest known.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
It’s unclear whether that is playing a part in his reactions or if he is just frustrated at the lack of quality play produced by Wolves in this match.
Wolves’ attack was toothless once again vs Bournemouth
Having gone down to 10 men, Wolves’ defensive efforts against Bournemouth were commendable. It easily could have become another big margin of defeat, but they held on and didn’t give the Cherries anything easy.
However, the play going forward was uninspired yet again. The team was unchanged, barring replacing Andre with Jhon Arias, a decision that wasn’t the right one looking back. Bellegarde should have been the one to make way.

Wolves need more attacking oomph, it’s as simple as that. The next week or so will have huge repercussions on the season, with Hwang’s future up in the air and even Strand Larsen’s situation not yet determined.
But the notion of selling attackers rather than buying them is something most fans can’t wrap their heads around after seeing a lacklustre display like this one.
