After what has been a successful window, The Friedkin Group have stuck to their word at Everton.
Spending heavily was always the aim this summer, as the Toffees needed a serious rebuild, and they’re going the right way about it.
David Moyes said signing players has been ‘difficult’, but almost eight new additions have arrived, and it doesn’t look like the Blues are stopping there.
There has been a real difference around the operations when Sean Dyche was in charge a year ago, but that was of course, without the help of The Friedkins.
Taking this into account, the owner’s impact has been shown over the last few months at Everton, as it’s a stunning contrast from last year.

Everton have spent £66m more than 24/25 summer after The Friedkin Group’s ambition
It’s certainly a change in environment from last season, as Dyche and Kevin Thelwell really struggled.
They still managed to bring in eight new arrivals, like this summer, as some strong signings entered the frame, who are benefiting Moyes now.
Tim Iroegbunam £9 million
Jack Harrison Loan
Iliman Ndiaye £15.6 million
Jesper Lindstrom Loan
Jake O’Brien £16.4 million
Asmir Begovic Free
Orel Mangala Loan
Armando Broja loan
Overall spending £41 million
Everton’s 2024/25 summer transfer window
Iliman Ndiaye’s signing was a masterclass from Thelwell, but the shocking matter is that just over £40 million was spent.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Comparing it to the 2025/26 summer, there has been a serious change in how Everton work behind-the-scenes, as once Tyler Dibling’s £42 million move is confirmed, The Friedkins will have spent £117 million this window.
Dibling’s figure is more than that whole summer alone, which speaks volumes to where the Toffees are now.
The quality in players is what really stands out as well, and the Toffees are not done just yet.
Everton could reach £150 million spending mark this window
After almost £120 million spent, any Evertonian would call this window a resounding success.
Obviously, the players have to put their performances into action to prove that it’s been a solid window, but the promise is there.
But this figure might only grow, as Everton still want two more players, with a right-back and central midfielder on their radar.
Moyes has seemingly not ruled out a centre-back either, so surely, with three more arrivals considered, the £150 million mark will be broken in extraordinary fashion.
