Predicted Manchester United line-up to face Fulham

Manchester United take on Fulham in their first away trip of the 2025/26 Premier League season.

After a disappointing result in the Premier League opener, as Manchester United lost 1-0 against Arsenal, Ruben Amorim’s side are trying to bounce back to winning ways.

Fulham will host the Red Devils at Craven Cottage after securing a 1-1 draw with Brighton last weekend.

It bodes well for United that they are facing a side they beat twice in the Premier League last season, despite suffering a turbulent campaign and finishing 15th in the league table.

Amorim has already ruled Noussair Mazraoui and Lisandro Martinez out of the game as both players are recovering from injuries. Other than that, United will have a full-strength squad to take on the Cottagers.

United fans will hope to see new signing Benjamin Sesko make his first start for the club.

How Manchester United could line-up vs Fulham

After dropping points against Arsenal but deserving more from the game, United are looking to put together a winning run, which will hopefully start at Fulham.

It’s an opportunity for United’s new signings to open their goalscoring accounts, after three recruits made their debuts last weekend.

Amorim named a starting line-up against the Gunners that didn’t consist of a centre-forward as Rasmus Hojlund was left out of the squad, amid links to Serie A champions Napoli.

Here is how we predict United will line up against Fulham on Sunday.

Goalkeeper

After Altay Bayindir’s howler cost United against Arsenal, Amorim must make a change between the sticks. First-choice goalkeeper Andre Onana is waiting in the wings to return after recovering from a hamstring injury he sustained during the summer break.

Defence

Amorim doesn’t need to make any changes to his defence, despite losing to Arsenal. The back-three consisted of Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Luke Shaw – with all players doing a good job keeping Arsenal’s attacking players quiet.

Meanwhile, the wing-back positions will be taken by Amad Diallo and Patrick Dorgu.

Midfield

Amorim has yet to settle on his ideal midfield pairing, and United continue to be linked with midfield targets in the transfer window. Manuel Ugarte could replace Casemiro in the team as Amorim will need to manage the Brazilian veteran’s minutes this season.

Bruno Fernandes will join the Uruguayan in midfield, which will only raise further questions about Kobbie Mainoo’s future in the team.

Attack

United could show off their revamped attack in full against Fulham, with Sesko set to join Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo in the starting line-up. It will be the Slovenian’s first start in a United shirt, and all of the new signings are looking to score their first goal for the club.
