Everton will play their first Premier League game at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday.
Brighton are the opponents for this historic league game at the Toffees’ state-of-the-art new stadium, in which Everton will be hoping to recover from their defeat to Leeds on the opening game of the season.
The Everton fans have already had the chance to experience the stadium in a pre-season friendly, and the reaction has been almost unanimously positive. It will be a huge money-spinner for Everton as well.
However, there have been some cheeky remarks about the name of the stadium made by Richard Keys.

Richard Keys makes joke about Hill Dickinson Stadium
Everton’s new home at Bramley-Moore Dock got its name because of a naming rights agreement with commercial law firm Hill Dickinson.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Richard Keys and Andy Gray were talking about the stadium on beIN SPORTS on Saturday, when a joke by Keys made his co-host laugh.
“I’ve referred to it as the David Dickinson Stadium already a few times this season,” he said, to which Gray laughed alongside him.
While stadium naming rights deals are becoming more commonplace in football, it does annoy some fans, especially if the name lends itself to cheap jokes.
Still, it’s likely the quality of the Hill Dickinson stadium will be what’s remembered once fans enter for the first time.

David Moyes still working to build team worthy of magnificent stadium
It has been a tough transfer window for David Moyes this summer.
While Everton were on their pre-season tour of the United States, Moyes admitted to the press he was “desperate” for new signings.
The Toffees’ transfer activity has stepped up since then. Everton have brought Jack Grealish in on a season-long loan, a move that has impressed Keys and several other pundits.
They are also closing in on a deal for Southampton’s teenage midfielder Tyler Dibling.
He’ll join the likes of:
Thierno Barry
Adam Aznou
And Mark Travers as new arrivals.
While they still look slightly short in attack, Moyes is working hard to build an Everton team worthy of their magnificent stadium.
He’ll be looking for a much-improved performance and a win against Brighton to make the home fans proud on Sunday. That’s the best way to make a new stadium feel like home.
