Tyrese Haliburton reveals his injury progress

Tyrese Haliburton notes "small wins" in his recovery, but won't set a timetable for return to the court.

Tyrese Haliburton faced a heartbreaking end to the 2024-25 campaign with the Indiana Pacers.

After a glorious run to the Game 7 of the NBA Finals against Oklahoma City Thunder, Haliburton tore his Achilles tendon during the final match of the season.

Haliburton talked to the media and noted some updates on his recovery:

"I'm walking now in my boot," Haliburton told reporters.

"Getting closer to walking full time in my shoe. So, that's exciting for me. It's kind of like a new benchmark, a new achievement for me."

"Just being able to walk, it's like the small wins right now. Just taking it a day at a time. I have good days, bad days."

Haliburton didn't want to give a precise answer to the question regarding a timetable of his recovery, as we know from earlier that he will certainly miss the whole 2025-26 campaign.
