Browns running back exits Rams game, being evaluated for concussion

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Browns running back Pierre Strong Jr. left Saturday’s preseason game against the Rams in the first half after taking a hit from Rams safety Tanner Ingle on a 5-yard run with 7:20 remaining in the second quarter.

Strong was slow to get up and went to the sideline after the play. He stood on the sideline with teammates before going into the blue medical tent.

He was then taken back to the locker room.

The Browns acquired Strong in a trade with the Patriots in August 2023. New England’s fourth-round pick in 2022 and has been with the team the last two seasons. He has appeared in 31 games, rushing for 399 yards and adding 151 receiving yards.

Strong has also been a key contributor on Browns’ kick coverage teams.
